netcdf-dbg software package provides debugging symbols for NetCDF, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install netcdf-dbg
netcdf-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the netcdf-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep netcdf-dbg *
You will get with netcdf-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
